Reach out to Sachin, Dhoni, and Yuvraj: Gilchrist has a crazy idea for Rohit and Dravid that could help India win the World Cup.

India win the World Cup

Adam Gilchrist believes that bringing in Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Yuvraj Singh to spend time with Indian players before the World Cup could be a wise decision.

Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, and MS Dhoni each did their part for India when they won the World Cup in 2011 after 28 years. Tendulkar, who was playing in his last World Cup, had the most runs for India with 482. Yuvraj, who had 357 runs and 15 wickets, was named the Player of the Tournament.

Dhoni, who was the captain of India at the time, saved his best performance for the end of the event. He played a game-changing knock of 91 not out to help India win the World Cup. Since then, the three men who started Indian cricket have all retired. Now, Rohit Sharma has been given the chance to make history when the World Cup comes back to India after 12 years.

Adam Gilchrist, who has won the World Cup three times for Australia, thinks that India’s team management should reach out to the star trio so that the players can pick their brains before the big cricket event. Gilchrist has won the World Cup three times for Australia.

Only Dhoni has been involved with the team in a similar way. He was named coach for India’s T20 World Cup team in 2021. Yuvraj and Tendulkar have not been involved with the Indian team in any way. But even so, Gilchrist thinks that now is the best time for these stars to spend some time with the Indian team, where Virat Kohli is the only World Cup winner.
